Ever since I was young I was in love with all things texture. The woven and embroidered goods, the beauty of pottery, and the craftsmanship of woodwork — they all speak to my creative soul. It’s like each surface has a story to tell, and I’m here to help you bring those stories to life through your designs.
Flower arranging and growing a big, vibrant garden every year are among my favorite pastimes. The colors, shapes, and textures of nature never cease to inspire me in my pattern designs.
I’m fortunate to share my life with my amazing husband, Derrick, and together we’re raising our energetic son. Our family calls the beautiful state of Alaska home, and we love exploring its scenic trails and charming towns. We’re also frequent travelers, flying back and forth to visit our families in Oregon and Montana. These journeys not only keep us connected with our loved ones but also provide us with a wealth of inspiration from different landscapes.
Surface Design
My journey into surface design began in 2016, but it was in 2021 that I decided to take things up a notch. I invested in my skills by enrolling in a surface pattern design course for Adobe Illustrator. It was a game-changer! Since then, I’ve been on a continuous quest for learning, joining memberships and completing online courses to expand my repertoire and stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of design.
I also have a bit of a nerdy side, both in art and life. I love learning different software, but also enjoy watching various sci-fi shows like Star Wars, Star Trek, Warehouse 13, Who knows, maybe we can embark on our own creative journey and boldly go where no designer has gone before!
